The Color of Water is a true story that the author experienced, having a white Jewish mother and a black Baptist father. My school librarian reccomended this book to me, and some other people said it was really good. Although it expressed racism and a look at a different life, to me, it just couldn't hold my interest. The story itself was okay, but you have to really be interested.
