If there ever was a really messed up friend, it was Dez.

I liked this book. I read it in two days because the only time I got was when I was commuting to and fro from college. And all the time when I wasn’t reading, I was wondering what would happen next.

There are a lot of issues Dawn Klehr has touched upon. Friendship, love, jealousy, identity being the top ones. But one thing that keeps resounding throughout is obsession and the lengths to which it takes a person.

Dez loves Riley and tries to do everything possible to get her. I liked Dez a lot when I started the book. I hoped in my heart that he and Riley would get together and live happily ever after. But as his schemes started being apparent, I started hating him. Mentally screaming at Riley to stay away from him. Saying more would be giving out spoiler. *zips lips*

There is a lot of suspense and mystery throughout the book. The climax is enthralling and the ending was absolutely unexpected. Being straight, Riley’s sexual orientation didn’t interest me much but I think that is what made her different from other typical female characters that fill up the YA genre.

Recommended if you want to read light mystery with a love story underneath.

Interesting. I don't think I've really heard anything about this one. Maybe I'll check it out.
