The Fifth of March by Ann Rinaldi ss not a real story however the events taken place in this book are real. Its totally historical fiction. The story is about a young girl, about the age of 14, named Rachel Marsh. She is an indentured servant in the famous Adamss household. This story is basically about the Boston Massacre in the perspective of Rachel. She struggles through the events and riots happening in Boston. Not wanting to lose her job, she stays away from all the protests and things. Until she becomes friends with a 16 year old British guard. Rachel is confused on whos side to be on: the British or the American. And learns who she is and more about herself and soon lets go of the Adamss household to find her place in the world. I believe readers will learn a lot from this book as well as enjoy it at the same time. They will learn about the Boston Massacre and about how Boston was, back in the days. It is a wonderful book. And I really enjoyed it. I think this book will appeal to all people of all ages and mostly to people who like to learn about American history. I personally, love American History especially the times during the revolutionary war. This book takes place in the early 1770s when America hadnt had its independence yet. Its a great read full of suspense, adventure and romance!

This book was just AMAZING! The drama was so strong!!!

And for all you romance-lovers, this is one of the best love stories I've ever read--except...well, the ending will disapoint you.

Anyways, I can't believe there are only a few sites on this book!!! This book should deserve more credit!!!
