I’m not one of those people who obsess over whether or not a book and its movie counterpart are exactly the same.

Scene by scene.
Word for word.

I realize that this is not always possible.

However, it always seems that the littlest things that matter the most are completely ruined in the movie. By either being changed or completely left out. (I’m speaking of Madge here!)

And the only complaint I really have about this movie is that Madge was completely left out. (I mean really! How hard would it have been to put her in there!? What? It would’ve added about another 10 minutes worth of footage. Big whoop. The film was already 2 hours and 23 minutes long. I think she could’ve been fit in!)

Anyways, I really liked everything else about this movie.
The action was great.
The dialogue was almost perfect.
The acting and actors chosen to play all characters was spot on. (Except for Liam Hemsworth. But that is just my personal preference, and the fact that he is associated with Miley Cyrus. Cause I hate her.)

Overall, a pretty good adaptation of the book. I'm really excited to see how they will do Catching Fire.
Finnick! :)
