This book is an essential study in group psychology and give a detailed and fascinating day-by-day account of the Standford prison experiment. This was an experiment where regular college students were made prison guards and others were made prisoners. Some of the guards became sadistic and mean while the prisoners became sullen and depressed. Some of the prisoners had to leave the study early. It also described the Stanley Milgram experiment done at Yale in 1961. This is a great read for any amateur interested in psychology.
