this was a very simple but great book. there were parts that i wanted to cry and parts that i was frozen in suspense. this is one of the best books i have ever read. i usually read books that involve dragons and faries but i am glad i picked this book . the outsiders is a must read!

This book was so amazing! I think I'm in love with the character Ponyboy. He sounds so cute and like such a deep person. I think that many teen boys and girls would like this book.

this book was truly unforgettable. it is realistic in the way that although you are not in the situation that this book lets on, you can still relate to the events that happen. it captures your heart, and when you think that this is actually the life of real people out there, you appreciate it so much more. The Outsiders pulled me into the world of a smart and unfortunate boy, and his views on everything from murders and girls to sunsets and losing someone you care about. i can go on and on about this book, and why it is my all-time favorite. this is a story and a message, and it shows us how much we take for granted. it changed me for the better, and i hope everyone out there reads it and that they see what can only S. E. Hinton can show.

The Outsiders is one of those "classics" that stay with you long after you have read it. I really mean this - you really can't forget it.

In a convincing and honest style, SE Hinton tells the tale [in first-person] of Ponyboy, and member of the local gangster group, the greasers, and they verse their enemies, the Socs, the west-side rich kids.

The plot runs its course, with its multiple deaths and honest, sometimes slightly poetic, and simple detail and leaves you with a slightly wearied, hopeful aftertaste that at least the boys will move on.

I loved this book because of its unforgettable plot, a plot that makes you ponder about the world. You should really read it.

At first, when I had to read this for class, I was like, no way will I read this. This is about gangs from the '60s. ew. Well, boy was I wrong. This was beautifully written and I did cry at the end. A must read for guys and girls. Trust me girls, it is worth the read.

It's hard to believe that this book was originally started when S E Hinton was only 15. This book is written with the maturity of a much older author. It confronts topics such as stereotype and judgements. It really shows you how people judge others by their labels. This book makes you think, evaluate every detail and conclude what you would do in the situation.

It's a very real story that shows you how bad life can get and somehow it is very much true. The characters have vivid personalities that make you laugh and cry with sympathy. The part about the poem is especially deep and touches a soft spot in your heart.

I love this book SOOOOOO much. S.E. Hinton had a way of making the readers fall in love with each and every character...It seems like the Greasers were people I knew and could relate to, although I am definitely not any sort of rebel. I liked how it feels that theres a little bit of Greaser inside all of us, and I think S.E. Hinton knows that. When one of the Greasers died (i dont want to ruin it) i cried and cried cause for some reason, it felt like i lost a brotehr or something...haha i definitely had an emotional atachment to this book.
