A cute YA romance!

The story:
Callie has only had one goal in life - get a college scholarship to play softball. Growing up, one person shared her goal. Her brother's best friend Noah wanted nothing more than to play baseball. When an injury sets his future on a different path than hers, he begins pushing her away.
But she refuses to let go so easily. A program at his college gives her the perfect opportunity to rekindle their lost friendship... until his true reasons for pushing her away rise to the surface.

What I loved:
Callie is such a cute character. She's the typical tom boy who is beautiful, yet doesn't know it. The guys around her eat out of the palm of her hand and she never uses the power she has. When she finally gets Noah to admit to his feelings, their chemistry is fantastic.
The book is written in such an easy-to-read style that it's really a pleasure. Light themes make for a good one-sitting read that won't leave heavy emotions weighing on your mind for the rest of the day.

What was just okay:
Noah wasn't a very likable character. For much of the book, I didn't want him to win the girl because he was just so mean to her. A few cliches are used as well.

Final Verdict:
A fun, well-edited story about young love that is equal parts sweet and volatile. Easy, pleasurable reading for any love of YA romance.
