This book is about a boy going through his freshman year in high school. He goes through the experience of drugs, sex, and much more that most teens do experience. This book has a lot of teaching to it. I do not usually like to read but this book was simply amazing. As you are reading you start to feel what the boy, Charlie, is feeling. You almost become him. I recommend "the perks of being a wallflower" to anyone in middle school, high school, or college. It is a very, very good book.

This book was byfar the best book i have ever read. It explains how we all feel, but are to "proud" to talk about. I believe anyone who reads this book will be able to relate to charlie(or any other character) in some way. Alot of people i have talked to have said this book has helped them through alot of hard times. Once again, if you havent read the book, you really need to. Its awesome!

I originally picked this book up because someone had recommended it to me, but I didn't really have a clue of what it was about. When I started reading this book i realized i couldn't put it down. It was different than any other book i've before. I especially enjoyed the way that it was written in letter form. The main characters confessions were very frank and they made me feel sorry for him at times. Though there were many sad parts in it it was a different kind of sad. I would definetly recommend this book to anyone since it is definetly one of the top best books i have ever read

i have read hundreds of books, and this one is number one on my list. i thought that this was the best damn book i have ever read. i've read it probably about ten times already. i can totaly relate to charlie and everything that he's going through in this book. i wish the kid was actually a real person, so he could be my best friend. this book is full of sex, drugs, music, and well basicly everything that goes on in every teenagers life.
i think that steven chbosky did an amazing job writing this book. whenever i talk to anyone about books, which is almost anybody that i come in contact with, i always recomend this book for them to read, and every person that i know that has read it, absolutly loved it. chbosky plese come out with some more awsome books for me to read.

I've had mixed thoughts about this novel. I bought it because I liked the cover (yes, I know, I do it too much). It turned out to be a bit overstated, perhaps even angsty,,,,,,,,However, the story was rather unique and intriguing.

The plot follows a naive adolescent bookworm in his first year of high school. Just entering the world of (literally) sex, drugs, and rock n' roll, he spirals through a whirlwind year of discovery, sexual confusion, social exploration, and the curative essence of music. The Perks of Being a Wallflower will ring a bell for every high school student or graduate, as all have experienced confusion in the throes of learning to grow up. If nothing else, it contains a great mix-tape playlist.

This book is very simmilar to the book called 'catcher in the rye', but it has totally different story. This story is about a boy, who is a teenager, and he tries many different things what teenager do;he has sex, tries drugs, falls in love, etc. But the story also goes around his godmother, who is really good and friendly. But you can see her real face in the end of the book. Enjoy!

I read The Perks of Being a Wallflower when my friend bought it for my birthday. I read the entire book in one sitting, and was never the same again. This emotionally raw and brutally honest book has made such a difference in my life. It is the story of 15 year old Charlie, an adolescent dealing with the highs and lows of his life. He is a shy yet brilliant young man with an amazing capacity for affection and compassion. I cried and laughed through the entire story. I would highly recommend this to anyone. It is a little graphic though, so I wouldn't recommend children to read it. Teenagers deinitely, adults most certainly! Parents- do you want to really know what on earth is going on with your teens? This will help you understand the horror that can be adolescence. The writing is brilliantly blunt and simple, creating something that is so real and familiar to the reader. I loved this book, and find myself reading over and over again. It's definitely worth your time!

The Perks of Being a Wallflower is one of the best books ever because it is so interseting that it makes you want to keep reading and never put the book down. It also makes your mind wonder and think about different things.

This book revolves around an outsider's perspective. Anyone could relate to it. I certainly did. The way its written in letter-format makes it very mysterious, you eventaully feel like Charlie is writing to you. The author wrote it well, however I didn't like that the main character seems so juvenile. OVerall, good coming of age story!
