Moose, Bear, and Tiger are getting more comfortable and happy with their new home. But one day, Cathy surprises them with a trip and their imaginations run wild with all of the possibilities. The three are filled with anxiety about this new adventure when they find themselves at the vet and are surrounded by other nervous animals, but they get through it together. In the end, it turns out to be a fun adventure, but they're happy when they return home to their comfy chair.
THE RESCUES BEST DAY EVER is a story about friendship and overcoming your fears. It's an endearing early chapter book that's perfect for early readers. The illustrations are simple yet adorable and the formatting is simple too, instead of intimidating. I love how the three rely on each other to get through the hard times and how they let their courage shine. Cathy is amazing for giving them a place they can call home. This is a heartwarming series that my daughter can't get enough of.
Final Verdict: I would recommend this to children aged six and older who love animals and are being introduced to their first chapter books. The simplicity of the words and plot help give children the confidence to continue their reading adventures. My eight-year-old really enjoyed this read.
