I watched the trailer for The Seven Rays and I knew I had to read it. The music was amazing and the video was perfection. Watch the video, then decide.

I don't know if I expected too much from this book, but it wasn't as good as I thought it would be.

The Seven Rays is about a group of seven girls who are gifted with different abilities. The book is told from Elizabeth's (Aleph Beth) point of view. The characters in this novel are well-rounded and the main character is especially funny, The book moves good and the end almost promises a sequel. However, it does say "end," so this will most likely not be a series. Although, the book could have a sequel.

When I was deciding whether or not to read The Seven Rays, I read some reviews and was quite surprised. Apparently, "this is not a teen type of book." Whatever that means. I read the book cover to cover and there was only one scene that might have been a little adult-ish. But, the scene was pretty harmless. This is a teen book, but it might be directed to the older teens.

It's a good book. I wouldn't say it's my favorite, but I don't regret reading it.
