This book was a pretty good book ! I enjoyed learning more about the indians, and also how the white men lived. Matt was a very loyal son. Even though Matt wanted to go with the indians he did not,he stayed there. Matt also was brave he stayed all alone in the cabin.
(but he was not alone when the indians were there.)This book was good I would recomend it for people who like historic books.

The sign of the beaver was a great book. I enjoyed reading it a lot. I like books like earagon harry potter and dragonlance more. There are two main reasons I rated this book a three. I thought that it did not capture my attention enough and it did not describe anything except Ben. And I think that Ben should not have exsisted and so Matt would still have the rifle and he could still hunt. The author should make a sequel and he Matt should go off to war and fight for the British and get his leg blown off and die and his son becomes now days Mel Gibson.

Sign of the Beaver is a very insteresting book. It's about a boy named Matt. His family bought a piece of land out in the forest. They had a plan, so the father was going to take Matt with him on their new property to build a house while Matt's younger sister Sarah and his mother stayed at their old house in Mass. Then Matt's father went back to get the other side of the family and come back to the new built house. So in the summer Matt and his father went to build
the house.

When Matt's father had left there was a fever going around town (the fever is something that can kill you). Then Matt met some Indians at his house.
