This book starts out with four best friends all going to be seperated for the first time this summer. These friends have known eachother since they were born, but they all are completly different.

Earlier in the year, one of the characters, Carmen, was in a thrift store and bought a pair of old jeans. When she got home, she forgot all about them and put them in her closet. But when all her friends were over the day before they seperated, she found them in the closet. All her friends wanted to try them on, but they were all sure they wouldn't all fit them, as they were all completly different sizes.

After all trying them on, they found that tey had fit everyone! They decided to send them to eachother during the summer after they had worn them.

I really liked this book. It was funny, and it really showed the connections between the charaters. Overall, this is a great read for ages 12+. If you liked it, be sure to check out the sequels, The Second Summer of the Sisterhood, and Girls in Pants.
