This may be the second or third book I've read by Sarah Dessen and I have to say I really enjoyed it. What I like about her books is that they aren't only for teens. Adults can read them and relate to the characters just as much as any teen would. This book is something anyone should read.
Looking forward to reading more. Thanks for writing a great book!

At first, the Truth about Forever might have been a rather slow book, but once you get going in it, it's great. One of the best books I've ever read. I must say though, it definitly took the girl and Wen long enough to get together!!!

I can't wait to read more of Sarah Dessen's books!

OMg this was a favorite book by sarah dessen so far! When Maceys bf tells her that he needs "time to breath" her world startws to fall apart. She gets stuck working at a job she doesnt like with people she hates and she thinks that her whole summer is going to turn out to be a dud. When "wish" cartering comes into her life macey learns what its like to be free, be herself, and be a teenager. when her and wes start a game of questions she finds out how easy it is to let people in and feel like u mean something.

i would give this book a 5 i loved it that much and i think that everyone should read this book!! ok so yea guys might not want to cuz it is a chick flick but hey u never know...

Ever since her father's death, Macy Queen has perfected being fine-just-fine. Perfect by association (her boyfriend Jason has the highest GPA in school, is student council president, created a nation-wide school recycling program, and is trilingual), Macy is an expert as concealing what she really feels.

This summer, though, with her taking over Jason's job at the library while he is off at Brain Camp, is looking especially dreary: days spent working at the information desk and evenings spent studying for the SAT or with her equally fine-just-fine mother.

But, to Macy's surprise, unexpected things happen to everyone, even girls striving to be perfect. First it's her job with chaotic Wish Catering, then Wes, her new co-worker who has a less-than-perfect past but who makes her see that flaws can make things better, more reality than dreamworld. He turns her world on end, and helps her realize that "happy" and "perfect" are not synonymous.

Macy's father died, and since then she has sunk herself in grief. On the outside however, anybody will assume she is okay. She doesn't let it show, with her appearance of a perfect life with good grades and even better behavior. But when her "perfect" boyfriend suggest a break from each other and almost calls her baggage, Macy takes an opportunity to to break free of her on going facade by joining the staff of Wish Catering. There she meets Kristy, attitude and punk packaged in one, Monica, whose slow on the uptake but fastest on understanding, Bert, making you smile as you flip through the pages of his Scare Games, and Wes, who makes Macy understand and deal with her grief by playing the game of Thruth, where they share laughs and stories. In the end, Macy discovers that forever is full of Begingings.

Sarah Dessen writes a story full of laughter and character development which makes yoiu laugh out loud and understand the true meaning of forever.

Simply put, this is the best YA novel I have ever read.

Macy Queen was a runner. Only on the day it mattered most, she wasn't fast enough, and her father died. So because of this, Macy quits running, and becomes obsessed with being perfect, so as to avoid any more life changing events.

Only life isn't perfect, and Macy has to learn that. She takes over her boyfriend Jason's job at the library so that he can take off for brain camp. While he is gone, Macy blurts out "I love you" in an email, and things change drastically. Instead of reciprocating, Jason dumps her.

In response, Macy begins branching out, to see what life has to offer. She hates her job at the library, and falls into a job she loves - working for a small catering business. And while working, she meets Wes, who isn't perfect, but might just be perfect for her.

This novel really and truly has it all. It has some funny moments. It has some moments that made me cry. And it had moments that made my heart pound and long for the feelings that Macy and Wes have.

Sarah Dessen has created a masterpiece with this novel, in my opinion. I would recommend it to everyone, probably 14 and up, and only wish I had enough money to buy everyone in the world a copy.

The Truth About Forever is one of the best books I've ever read. Macy is a girl who practically watches her father die. Her boyfriend, who is a perfect genius, goes away to braincamp. What will happen while he's away? Macy meets Wes,a guy who turns her world upside down..This book made me cry. I highly recommend it for people who want to see what a perfect guy is like.
