The name of this book originates from "Alice Jenkins is the worst girlfriend in the world." which is scrawled on the boys public toilet wall.
Franny and Alice have been best friends since they were babies, and have gone to the same primary and secondary school as each other. Franny and Alice are inseparable, until college starts and Franny's mothers condition takes a turn for the worst.
Alice is a serial snogger, Franny is a one man gal. Franny has a serious crush on Louis, the lead member of Thee Desperadoes. Alice decides to give Louis a shot... But will it have irreversible damage on their best-friendship?
This book was so well written it didn't even matter that it wasn't my usual genre of books. There was a nice amount of detail without going overboard, no repetitive actions, I felt like I could understand everything that was going on. The thoughts/feelings of Franny made sense to me, so it seems like a completely viable story-line.
I just loved this book, and I am looking forward to reading more of Sarra's books.
I loved it so much that I stayed up until 1am, and I hope you will too!
Thanks for reading my review!
