This was definately the best book I have read by Sara Dessen.

Remmy has never seen her father, and all she know of him is the song he wrote her, which make him a one-hit-onder. She is cautious when it comes to love and has her boundaries set in order to not let anymone in too close. Which is sencible, since she sees the trouble of love.

Dexter is some clutzy musician who sings for a band. Hesees Remy at a car dealership and just

Remy Starr is the girl who always knows when its time to break it off with a guy, but when she meets Dexter she doesnt know what to think.
Dexter is an eccentric, clumsy, musician and he is the definition of the kind of guy Remy would never date.
But when she realizes hes not going to give up, she gives him a chance, they fal in love, blah, blah, blah.

Sounds like a typical love story, right?
It is and its only one of the few Sarah Dessen novels that is terrificly romantic./

This really is a touching story. I have read most of Sarah Dessen's books and I think this is the best. Remy's mother has been married and divorced three times and is onto her fourth marriage when this book takes place. None of her marriages have worked out and this makes Remy doubtful that there can be a happy ending in love. You could probably call her a slut, because usually she dates guys and sleeps with them but after a while she decides to dump them and move on.

She meets Dexter in multiple places and she really likes him. His mother has been married even more than Remy's, 5 times. Her friends see a change in her. She makes a lot of rules when dating guys including not dating musicians (and Dexter just happens to be one).

Will there romance work out? For both of them, their mother's romance didn't work out but will that leave them skeptical of love or can their relationship change them?

FANTASTIC!!! This Lullabye is my favorite Sarah Dessen book of all time.

The story begins by Remy telling you about the song This Lullabye that was written for her by her father.Remy is about to ventuer off to college and leave her four best friends and mother alone. Remy doesn't want any added attatchments that's why when she meets Dexter she plans to break up with him in a matter of weeks just like every other guy she has met, but fexter is different and does not play by her rules.

A must read.

Remy has a cycle with boys. Once things start to get too serious, she dumps them. What happens though when one boy (Dexter) just doesn't give up? Of course she'll have to give in. But not without a fight. And there is a fight, a big one.

This book was crazy awesome! You'll fall in love with all the characters. Most importantly you'll fall in love with Dexter. His silliness and clumsiness is sooo funny and lovable. I don't have any complaints about this book at all! Sarah Dessen does a great job with her characters!

Why are you still reading this? YOU SHOULD BE READING THIS BOOK! go now!

This book was amazing. I made a personal attachment to this book that I only make with, what i believe are truly great books. This books makes one confront their own cynicisms about love and also forces the audience to confront their fear of risks. Remy also learns what it's like to allow her loved ones to mature and evolve (i.e. her brother). Overall it was a wonderful coming of age novel that is very well-written.

This Lullaby is about a strong, opinionated girl who has a relationship with the antithesis of her perfect boyfriend.

This book has a lovable yet "scary" main character, Remy, who is blunt and tough. She scares me because she's not afraid to be who she is and doesn't really care what people think of her. However, my favorite character is Dexter who actually teaches Remy many lessons on life, love, etc. even though he seems very immature and not tough like her.

I really enjoyed learning the whole roundness of the main characters because most of the time, one never learns what the insecurities and faults of a person easily. It showed me that while everyone has a little bit of baggage, don't let them stand in the way of life.

A wonderful story of a girl finding love.

This book is full of surprises and great plot. It talks about a girl that doesnt want to fins=d true love, cause she doesnt care.

But is that the problem, or is it that mabe she is afraid of love and all of it's advantages.

Till now she couldn't find love. But poor Remy doesnt know what's ahead when she meets Dexter. Could Dexter be what she had waited all her life?

She feels lost at words when it come to him. She realizes all the surprises and fun being in lvoe is, even with it's ups and downs.

Exhilarating, and keeps you begging for more.

An all-time favorite of mine, and tied with the Truth About Forever for my favorite Sarah Dessen novel.

This Lullaby is about those girls. The skeptics, the cynics. That book is out there for you.

It is amazing and wonderfully Dessen. She has the abilty to craft beautiful characters that one can not hope to fall in love with. Remy is a strong amazing girl who truly shows us what its like to never understand the meaning of the word: love.

If you have never read a Dessen book, This Lullaby will turn you into a fan. I guarentee it!

Remy doesnt believe in love. After all, if your mom has divorced and remarried about five times, how could she? And why does her mom suddenly think this new guy is the one? Remys got all her relationship rules all laid out. After she gets too close to a guy, she dumps him.

But then she meets Dexter, and something about him is different. He just wont let her push him away, and soon a real relationship develops between them. Of course, there are always the complications: Remy is only looking for a summer relationship before heading off to college, Dexter isnt.

This Lullaby follows Remy through her ups and downs in her relationships with her friends, her mom, Dexter, and the song her dead father wrote. Remys struggles are very realistic and easy to follow. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, like I enjoyed Sarah Dessens other books, and I am eagerly awaiting the release of Lock and Key, another novel by Sarah Dessen. I would highly recommend this book and Sarah Dessens other books to everyone, especially fans of Dab Caletti.
