Once again LEGO and Star Wars team up to bring young fans a stellar activity book experience.
Centering around The Force Awakens storyline, this 32-page book’s offerings include: comics, mazes, word puzzles, pattern matching, a comprehension quiz, and various visual and reasoning exercises. (And of course, the LEGO figure featured on the front is an engaging bonus—however, sadly, not a figure from TFA.)
While 7+ is the recommended age, my 6-year-old had no trouble with any of it. The tone is upbeat, and the contents generally more child-friendly than the Star Wars movie in question. The artwork has a sort of cell-shaded watercolor appeal that suits the overarching whimsy.
A good potential gift, and a fun way for adult Star Wars fans to share the fandom with their children.
