Note: this review is for the Vampire Kisses omnibus containing books 1-3.

In this omnibus containing the first three books of the Vampire Kisses series, the reader is introduced to Raven, a vampire-obsessed Goth, and Alexander, who happens to be a real vampire. Raven has always dreamed of becoming a vampire, and she thinks Alexander might be able to make her dreams come true.

But they face obstacles, including the citizens of "Dullsville", and Jagger and Luna. Will they be able to keep their secrets safe? Will they be able to stay together? Will Raven finally become a vampire?

I really enjoyed the short length of these books. My edition is only five-hundred and sixty pages long for three books, which makes for short, refreshing reads. The writing style is light-hearted and this is often displayed through Raven, who happens to be super sweet and rather friendly. She's a great character, and I like that while the author kept some of the Goth stereotypes, such as liking the paranormal, vampires, etc, she also discarded some of the stereotypes by making Raven such a nice, open person.

Alexander is a wonderful love interest. He is perfect for Raven and the reader can see that from the start. There is a bit of a love triangle but it's not too intense or obvious.

The first-person narration was a good choice for this book, as it helped me to care about Raven through her thoughts and hopes and dreams. I found that she and I had a lot in common, including our gothic style and love for all things paranormal and, of course, vampires. Therefore, I remained interested in her story. I also found her very admirable because she was able to keep such a positive demeanor although she is an outcast.

While some people might find the narration and word choice a little bit childish, I thought it was, as I said, refreshing. It's nice to find a cute little book like this one, simple and cheery, yet with elements of the paranormal and serious situations.

I recommend this omnibus to fans of YA, vampire lovers, and romance lovers. If you're looking for a cute, light-hearted read, this series is for you.

Another YA series that combines the real world drama of High School life with the supernatural world of Vampires. Fun to read, and kept me laughing.

This is written more for a younger audience, but it's a fast paced read that is great for between books. I love the characters, and can see myself being friends with Raven and Alex.

Raven wonders "Who said dating a vampire was easy?"  Raven's nocturnal romance with her immortal love, Alexander, is definitly dicy, but becomes even more so with Alexander's meddling half-vampire cousin in town.  Claude and the sketchy gang are on the hunt for a stash of blood-filled vials that can turn them into pure vampires.  With an old family feud casting a shadow on the search, they will do anything to get their hands on the vials.  Raven and Alexander must swiftly mastermind a plan to outwit them, but will the very lure of the vials create more risk for Raven?  Will it deepen her own quandary about the possibilitiy of becoming a vampire?

Ok. When i first saw this book and read the first couple of pages i thought this is gonna be stupid. You have this preppy girl wantin' this one guy because she thinks she can get anyone. But when i kept on reading it, i began to like it. Then by the end, I LOVED IT. The book totally sucked me into the story. I would totally recommend this book, if you love Twilight then you'll love this book even more. YOU NEED TO READ THIS!!!

The first book in Ellen Schreiber's series Vampire Kisses is one of my favorite books ever. It was really interesting and not cliche like I assumed it would be. I was totally wrong. I especially like the main character Raven. She is an extremely peculiar character. Ever since she was in Kindergarten she has always wanted to be a Vampire. And when a new family rumered to be Vampires moves into the Haunted Mansion Racen is obsessed with, she jumps at the chance. This is a great book and highly reccommended to everyone who loves vampire books!!!

Vampire Kisses is one of my other fave. books i must say. I love al the books in the series. they keep you reading and interested in whats going to happen next. theres always soemthing going on in the story. some kind of mystery or problem waiting to happen. the couple always has to wait til the dark to be togehter considering the male is a vampire. They also have to hide his vampiric identity from everyone else in the town. This book is full of adventure, mystery and romance. i would recoment this to people into fantasy and romance books. i would say for ages 14 and up.

Raven our star, is the town outcast. Her dream is to one day become a vampire, and following this passion doesn't go over in Dulls-ville. Shunnned at school we first join her on her Birthday wen she chashes an exclusive party, and messes with Mr. Popular.
Things take a twist when a new family moves to town. Never seen in the day light, always wearing black, could they be vampires? Raven can't wait to find out.
She eventully does in falling for the son. But they can't be together it just isn't safe. Sometimes the best things in life are just hard.
Go Ellen! I love your books.
