There's no other book quite like this. It takes time-travel on a new path.
Abbi is a freshman in college and that brings it's own new experiences, but all she can think about is the dying wish of her grandmother to "find the baby." Little does she know that that request will take her on a journey that sees her hurtling through time, stopping at different intervals. Each point in the past that she travels to serves a purpose- whether it be people she needs to meet or information she needs to find. The two constants are Professor Smith who is younger each time she meets him and Will, a boy just like her, but on a different path. His time-travel takes him forward in time. Each time they find each other, one remembers more than the other creating a heartbreaking story of love lost and found and lost again.
What I loved: The entire idea behind this story. It's fascinating. One cannot simply put the book down to take a break. It's the kind of story that you think about even when you aren't reading. The characters are entirely lovable, making it easy to root for a happy ending. There are enough twists that predicting how the ending will turn out is nearly impossible.
What was just okay: The book starts out rather slow and takes a while to build, but those who stick with it are surely rewarded.
An intriguing story full of wonderfully complex characters and a journey through time that you won't soon forget.
