This book is really good. It is a fast read, and I enjoyed it a lot. It is about a boy who gets abused by his mother's boyfriend, and the mother doesn't know. He also has a crush on a girl. Eventually he asks her out, and some crazy things happen, resulting in him getting beat up by the mom's boyfriend. You won't be dissapointed in this book. I loved it.

My friend told me about this book and I first thought it was going to be dark, especially because of the cover and everything, and it was kind of dark, but it was funny.

It totally amazed how this kid could live the screwed up life he lived and still be able to crack jokes about people in his mind. I mean his mom's boyfriend is beating the crap out of him and yet he still has enough sanity (or is st insanity) to talk about Mrs. Moonface right to her face without even realizing it.

This book is not a waste of time, its's cool. It's one of the few books that can talk about child abuse from the child's point of view and still be funny.

Dont waste your time with this book its terrible. Its completly strange and of the wall. The story just kinda slides along and by the end you've figured out a few things but its not worth it. This book is very frusterating and I absolutly HATED it.

Watch out! Dont Read You Dont Know Me!!

You dont know me is probebly in the top 5 of my favroit books! At first I thought that it was funny in a sarcastic way, but then after the firts 6 chapters I couold'nt stop reading and everytime I opened it I would'nt be abel to stop crying. Before this book I was never able to realate to the main character as well as I could with john. The only difference between me and him is that he was abused and I'm not. By the time I finished it, I realized how gratefull I actully and that I don't have to live like that.

David Klass introduces a new writing style in "You don't know me." The book deals with abuse and why kids never tell on the people that abuse them. Klass, narates as the main character John, in a J.D salinger type way. John is very judgemental and tends to lie, but tells you when he's lying. Thruoghout the book John feels like knowone understands him and what he's going through.
