i love this book so much. i am fourteen years old and hate to read. However, when my english teacher told me i have to look for a book to read i was annoyed. In search for a book to skim through, i came along this book. The picture and title drawed to my attention, while reading the first page i was tempted to continued. Never has a book made me feel this way before. I love the fact that this author uses such great discriptions and word choice. It feels as if i can see in my mind what is going on. I rate this book as a 5 and told my friends about it, now i have atleast 10 people who are dieing to read this book when i am done. I stay up countless hours continuing to read and hope to see more books published by this author.

This book takes you into a world mosy people don't even know exists. Tina and her best friend April, both teenager runaways, live with the homeless in the tunnels beneath Grand Central Station in New York City. If you think running away is a glamorous life, this book will set you straight. Hunger, loneliness, drugs, rape, assault, jail time, and even death are part of the world of Tina and April -- and it's all true. Read this and learn what it's really like. You may need a strong stomach, but you'll never forget this book.
