Anne of Ingleside was not the greatest book in the Anne series. It was not exceptional like the other Anne books;it was just good. The story talked about Anne and her six children. Basically, every chapter was just a tale about one of the children or Anne. There really wasn't a plot. I agree with Bookworm9; it was not great, but it was all right, nonetheless. I just thought the book could have been a tiny bit better.

Anne is now the mother of five lovely children and she finds that in her life there is never a borning momnet. She soon finds out that she will be having another child. Six kids that's alot!!!! But then Anne is starting to think that Gilbert doesn't love her anymore and Anne doesn't understand why she thinks she is the same person just older will her marriage last?

I love Lucy Maud Montgomery, as well as her Anne series, but "Anne of Ingleside" is not a very good read. The book has basically no plot, and jumps between stories about Anne and her (still very young and not overly interesting) children. The main Anne storyline is her worry that Gilbert no longer loves her, and to have such a spunky heroine reduced to a paranoid wife is pretty sad.

However, please do not let this review deter you from reading the Anne series as a whole-- it's wonderful!
