IF YOU LIKE A MYSTERY THAN THIS IS A BOOK FOR YOU!!!!! IT IS ABOUT DANA (main character) AND HOW SHE FINDS A SKELETON IN A HIDDEN ROOM IN HER NEW HOUSE THAT HER FAMILY JUST BOUGHT. SHE THOUGHT THAT THIS WOULD NEVER HAPPEN. tHEN THE BOOK SHIFTS FROM 1856 AND PRESENT DAY BECAUSE WHAEN THE POLICE COME OVER SHE FOUND SOMETHING THAT THE POLICE DIND'T FIND........... A DIARY FROM THE PAST OWNER OF THE HOUSE IN 1856. THIS IS TRULY A WONDERFUL BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you like mysterys you will like this book. The books beginning is the best. Dana finds someting weird. I won't tell you what she finds. Then in 1856 there is a family that has to do with the undergound railroad. In the story the author gives clues on how these two story conect. It is a really good book !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Steal Away Home is a good book. In this book
there are two diffreent stories going on . One
is about a girl named Dana . She find s a dead body in her closet and she tries to figure out
how the person dies she also finds a diary. The
other part of the story tells about a boy that illegaly transports slaves.

Steal Away Home is a great book. It's about a ten year old girl who was pealing down wall paper then the wall falls and she finds a skeloton in the tiny room. Then she finds a little black book in the room with the skeloton. She decides to keep the book until June first. If she couldn't find out the mystery by then she would give the book to the scientist (the black book was the house owners diary in 1856). The skelotonwas a african american who was running away from her slave owner. The black book belonged to the lady who let her stay for the week.
