For new young fans of Roger Clemens, this book might be a disappointing read. For older fans of Clemens or baseball fans in general, however, it's worth reading. You do get a little background on the famous pitcher, but the majority of the book details his stellar 1986 season, which included a twenty strikeout game, an MVP award, an All-Star start, a Cy Young, and a trip to the World Series. You couldn't ask for a more exciting season to write about.

The book becomes bogged down by the fact that Clemens seems to expect readers to know details of the '86 Red Sox team-- things that he mentions in passing but never fully explains which left me going "hunh?" a lot. Other than that, however, it was fun to read and Clemens' unique voice/ personality really came through.
