Kip lives in a small town and is the son of the funeral director. And he is expected to enter the family business when he grows up. All of his family is involved in the business. He even lives at the mortuary! Now you don't read about that every day! Kip is not sure what he wants for his future. Kip has a special gift of being able to wrap the loose ends of a person's live who has passed away (much like the the boy in the 6th Sense, but less scary) In the end, I felt like Kip really did have the gift of being the funeral director and would follow that with enthusiasm when the time came.
