What I liked: Aris and Blythe are married and are off on their honeymoon, but soon, Blythe finds out that she is instead doomed to live in gloomy, not very fancy, Wisteria. The forced marriage of Aris and Blythe sets up lots of feisty, witty banter between the not-so-in-love newlywedded couple. The creativity that Aris goes to ensure Blythe's dad truly believes his daughter is safe with Aris, the prince, is perfect.
Final Verdict:
The twists of yet another deity called chaos into the story were interesting and, at times, terrifying. I found myself on the edge of my seat to see just what chaos would unfold as the story progressed. The ending made me a bit teary-eyed, but it did all wrap up, even though it was torture to get there.

Wisteria had me at forced marriage with an enemy-to-lover trope cliffhanger from the last book. Blythe and Aris’s characters were so much fun to read with their petty games to make each other more miserable. I enjoyed Blythe and Fate's story even more than Signa and Death with their fiery stubbornness and undeniable chemistry. However, I do like that we check in on Signa to learn that she is working to find out who poisoned everyone at Foxglove when she was a baby.
I loved the wonderment in Fate’s magic. He can make anything in his imagination take shape. So, when he finally gives Blythe a beautiful landscape that also works to impress her father just to be a good husband to her, I could not stop reading. The first part of this book was magnificently executed and an enchanting read. Another aspect of the plot I enjoyed is Blythe’s father, Elijah, being more present in this book and the deepening of his relationship with his daughter is lovely.
There were huge unexpected twists in the plot once Solanine’s character was introduced. Honestly, I felt her character was too late to be introduced to the trilogy, and the chaos she unleashes changed the whole vibe of the book. Which is ironic because she is the embodiment of chaos. Her character does allow everything to wrap up but in unexpected ways that weren’t as satisfying as they could have been. Her character also sets off the events that cause the bittersweet heartbreak and unexpectedly beautiful ending to the series. Overall, I enjoyed this addition to the trilogy and there is potential left for future companion books.

Wisteria is the final book in the Belladonna series, and I actually just finished it a month ago. It felt like a really strong conclusion to the story overall. After following these characters through the earlier books, it was satisfying to finally see how everything wrapped up.

One of my favorite parts of the book was still the relationship between Fate and Blythe. From my perspective, their dynamic carried so much of the emotional weight of the story. The enemies-to-lovers tension between them was written in a way that kept me invested the entire time. There were moments where I caught myself smiling at their interactions because their chemistry was just that good.

The story also kept the same mysterious and slightly dark atmosphere that the series has always had. There are twists, secrets, and emotional moments that make the book hard to put down. By the time I got closer to the ending, it definitely started to feel like everything was building toward something big.

And that epilogue… honestly, it left me with a lot of feelings. It was the kind of ending that makes you sit there for a minute after finishing the book, just thinking about everything the characters went through. For me, it felt emotional in the best way and really highlighted the depth of the relationship at the center of the story.

Overall, finishing Wisteria felt like closing the final chapter on a world I had been following for a while. It is dramatic, emotional, and very romance-driven, and if you enjoy enemies-to-lovers stories with a darker fantasy setting, this series is definitely worth reading all the way through.
