Welcome to the second venture into the Archives of the Unexplained, a middle grade fiction graphic novel series exploring historical and mysterious hair-raising events. In this dive we look into the House of Blood 1987 and the Guyra Ghost!

Creepy is having a comeback! Open the Archives of the Unexplained as we delve into unearthly real-life stories, explore the unknown, and examine the elusive facts of history’s many mysteries. Each book in this series takes one or two high-interest and relatively focused events and presents a lively, thorough, but open-ended examination of what occurred.

Minnie and Jackson’s new house has some stories to tell. As does Theo, the mysterious boy they meet in the park. Theo is full of unbelievable tales―the flying rocks and breaking glass of the Guyra Ghost house and the crimson-drenched floors of the Atlanta blood house. And what does this mysterious boy know about their new home? If only walls could talk.

Achieves of the Unexplained: Unwanted Guests is the second book of this graphic novel series that looks into real-life stories. In this book, we are exploring the stories of The House of Blood 1087 and The Guyra Ghost.

What I Liked: This book opens by introducing you to Minnie and Jackson, who have just moved into their new house and encounter a mysterious boy at the park, Theo. Theo is full of incredible tales that Jackson doesn’t find very believable, yet these stories still manage to spook him and his sister when they are at home alone in their very own bedrooms.

This book does a great job of taking these real-life stories and telling them in a fictional manner to try and make them approachable for a younger audience. The illustrations throughout this book add a layer of fear to the story as you watch these stories come to life and imagine them happening right in front of you. This is one that I had to put in a separate room when I was done reading, especially when I discovered that these two stories were not fictional.

Final Verdict: Archives of the Unexplained: Unwanted Guests is a thrilling, scary story that is perfect for fans of Goosebumps or. Children aged 8 who enjoy horror will be delighted by this frightful tale and will definitely want to learn more about the two stories that are explored in this graphic novel. Adults who are looking for something spooky but not too scary that they won’t be able to sleep will enjoy this book as they learn about stories that they may not have heard about before.
