Following the theme of any Meg Cabot book, this book is hilarious and charming, if for slightly older readers than those of The Princess Diaries. Thsi novel is centred around a former teenage singing sensation, Heather Wells, a woman now working in a college dormitory. But the relationships and happenings of her famous ex boyfriend and the slight problem of the dead body found at the bottom of the dorm's escalator, keep even this singing sensation on her toes!
