A Rose for Melinda

A Rose for Melinda follows the same formula as most of Lurlane McDaniel's books. A girl and a boy meet, they become friends, then fall in love and then the girl gets sick, with cancer in this case. Not that I'm saying it isn't a good book. It is and it's very sweet, but it isn't one of my favourites. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a good read, but warn them that it has a sad ending, as the girl, Melinda, passes away.
