Well the title of my review should just let all of you know that I didn't like this book. It was just really boring. I dunno maybe it's because I grew out of the "magical" book phase well before the 3rd Harry Potter book. I think that if your below ten these books would maybe tickle your fancy. However anyone older should deffinatly look into a different series.

The Bad Begining is the begining of a series of extremly unfortunate events. The Bauldelaire children had everything they ever wanted until that fateful day when their entire mansion burned to the ground taking thier parents too. Now Violet, Klaus, and Sunny are by themselves in the cold cruel world and they will have to learn to survive on their own. They get sent Count Olaf; a terrible and greedy person who only cares to get his hands on the Bauldelaire fortune. He comes up with a great skeem but is dissapointed when the children out smart him. He and his henchman escape just in time. But the Bauldelaires know he'll be back again. It's just a matter of time. I love this book because of the way Lemony Sniket compares their lives to our lives. If you think this story is bad, then you shouldn't read any more books from this series. The Bauldelairs don't know it but it only goes downhill from here.

A series of Unfortunate Events: The Bad Beginning is a great book about three children who lost their parents in a fire at a young age. They are trying to find a home that suits them and a place where they are loved. There is an evil man they have to stay with named Count Olaf. He follows the Baudelaire children from home to home to try to steal the Baudelaire fortune. Even though the book is quite depressing,it has many exciting twists and turns that make you wanna keep reading!

In the beginning, the author, Lemony Snicket, doesn't encourage you to read this book. It's strange, but the book is really good. When he is trying to describe something someone felt like, he would compare it to your life so you would get the feeling of it.

This is the first book of the series of unfortunet events. When their parents die, they get switched around from family to family-and sometimes people who they didn't know. In this one, they go to Count Olaf's place. Olaf is a person with instead of two short eybrows, has one, long one. His eyes go a glassy when he looks at the orphans and he has a tattoo of an eye on his ankle. He tries to get their fortuneby marrying Violet in a so called "play". But Violet outsmarts him by signing with her left hand instead of his right one.

I still wonder how the fire that killed their parents started though...

This book is about three orphans named Violet who is fourteen and is an inventor,Klaus second oldest and LOVES and when i say loves i mean loves to read, and the third oldest a girl named Sunny is under the age of one and likes to chew things and talk to her siblings with her weird language that is not words. Their parents (I'm sad to say) die in a fire while they are at a nearby beach(the children). Well then a local bank teller (named Mr. Poe who has uncontrolible coughing) is in charge of them (and ,until violet becomes of age, their family fortune). He places them with their cousins aunt's brother's ect. who's name is Count Olaf. He has a tatoo of an eye on his left ankle.Keep that in mind it will help in the later books (witch there is 9 of).He is trying to capture their family fortane and trying to do so by.........
Whoops i can't tell you that. It would ruin a big chunk of the book.I think this is a great book to read.My teachers even reading it!!!!!!!!
