Review Detail

A pretty solid continuation of the series overall, but there were a few things that bothered me a bit. The first is the "freaks." I just didn't really find the constant self-pity about being ambidextrous and flexible funny. A few times are funny, sure, but it was just too overdone (even for these books.) The second being the amount of death in one of the last scenes. It's not that I found it sad or overdone (there's quite a lot of death in the series, so there's no way I'd make it this far before getting squeamish), it just seemed way too easy. It's like he just went "I think there's too many characters and I need to start wrapping things up....so let's just throw everyone in the lion pit!"
