Two Baudelaire orphans, Klaus and Violet, are rolling down the Mortmain Mountains in the Valley of the Four Drafts in a trailer. What will they do to avoid death and how will they catch up to Count Olaf who has snatched Sunny?

All of these questions and more are answered in Lemony Snicket's novel, The Slippery Slope. This time readers will see the comeback of a bratty, message deliverer ("you cakesniffers!") and more suprises that are much too shocking to reveal. Among those the meaning of V.F.D. Or one of the many meanings!

Readers of the "Unfortunate Series" will be delighted with this newest novel (as of Oct '03). I enjoyed this novel from start to finish although many unfortunate things happen to the Baudelaires, like always! In this review, "always" means "in any book written by Lemony Snicket to date with perhaps the exception of his autobiography."

For those who are curious to learn more about the Baudelaire tale will be sure to keep reading....
