The author’s writing style makes this book a joy to read from start to finish. I started reading it on a plane ride – I could not put it down until I finished it. I was hooked. The book beautifully tackles the complexities of new romance, experiencing anxiety, shifting relationships with parents in young adulthood, and finding your own voice. The main character’s experience navigating college and young adulthood is so relatable. I felt nervous with her, sad with her, excited with her, laughed with her, cheered her on, and everything in between.
Overall, I loved the dialogue, the characters, the setting, and the plot twists and turns throughout. For me, what makes this book 5-star is the writing. This author’s unique voice shines through the dialogue and storytelling, making the book feel humorous, honest, and original.
I received an ARC for an honest review.
