Alice is a coming of age story of a young girl who is not only partially deaf but suffers from epilepsy, as well. She is found and befriended by Ellie who takes Alice under her wings and does all she can to help her.
The descriptions of the scenes, the hearts of these young charcters, and the complete turn around of Alice all make this an enjoyable and memorable tale.
I purchased this book from my middle school book fair when I was a child, and now as I prepare for a career as a Librarian this story sticks out as one of my all time favorites.
