User reviews
The book is about a kid Luke goes to a all boy school. He cant make no friends and plus his room mates a always mean to him. Well he's getting bulling from them he is trying to read a note from Jen's farther, Jen is in book 1 Among the Hidden. Luke is so sorry and sad that Jen died but well trying to hide he cant let no one find out he's a thrid childen. See if the Population Police finds any thrid child they will kill them one by one. There a tons of third kids out there hiding arouund the world. But you dont have to worry this story is fake it is not true, but its good all the books are. If you ever I mean ever see a book called "Margaret Peterson Haddix" pick it up and start reading it!!!!!!!!!
(I aprove this message.)
All his life, Luke Garner has had to live in fear and hiding. He is a third child, an illegal by the passing of the Population Law. Knowledge of his existence spells his death and the death of all who tried to protect him.
Lukes dead best friend Jen Talbots dad manages to get him a fake I.D. Suddenly he can be out in the world, mingling among others as Lee Grant, a Baron who had actually died in a skiing accident. At Hendricks School for Boys, a terrified Luke tries to adjust to life among other people. He is afraid all the time of someone finding out that he is a third child, and yet doesnt want to forget his real identity, either.
One day, Luke finds a mysterious door in the wall and escapes outside school confines, only to discover that the whole entire school is windowless. This sets of a chain of events involving other third children and Lukes own growing sense of self-confidence, awareness, and knowledge. However, not everyone is who they seem, and Luke must be extremely careful...or else the imposter among them will betray them all.
AMONG THE IMPOSTERS consists mostly of Luke trying to adjust to life in society. While its perhaps not as exciting as the first in the series, this book is a chillingly convincing story of societal adjustment, and it will only involve readers ever more into this eerie and complex world. I look forward to reading the next book in the series!
This book is an amazing book.. it has mystery's, poblems, out comes, etc. Alot of young adults would love this book. I know i did! If you like mystery's this is the book for you. Once you start reading it's so hard to stop because each chapter ends in a question that the next chapter answers! I love this book! And i'm sure you would too!
"Among the Imposters" by Margret Peterson Haddix was more mysterous and thrilling than the firt. Luke Garner, now at school, has met a boy named Jason. Jason has brought some of the third chilren out of both Hendricks School for Boys and Harlow School for Girls together for a secret club in the woods to tell their secret identities. But Luke soon finds out that the Population Police have spys everywhere.
