A beautiful story about an orphan girl set in Prince Edward Island, Canada. Anne Shirley is an absolutely loveable character with very human traits. Beautiful little episodes of a childhood bound together in a remarkable book. Fanatastic for girls who haven't yet forgot how to dream.

It is a must read. Anne captures your hearts. Its about a journey of a young orphen who is adopted, and who has a firey attitude and red hair to match. You will laugh and cry. It is a classic.

i just finished reading this book and i absolutly loved it because it talked about the life of a younf girl growing up in practically the very first place she could call home.

anne has been an orphan practically all her life and when she finially gets a chance to not be and orphan, she finds out that the people she thought would be her parents really didnt want her cause they didnt choose her, they had choosen a boy instead. but when the find out that they could keep her or she could go to this alwful woman, they decise to keep her. this book tells about the tales of her as she grows up.

i read this book because my friend had to do a play on it and i thought it might be a good book, plus it was one of the olden fashion books like the little house in big woods series and i love reading books of such tales. i decided that the long version was too long for me so i decided to read the short version over the summer which i just got done doing.

i would recomend this book to any ungratefull girl and boy.

I love this book so much! Anna an orphan goes to live with a couple that really wanted a boy but there was some kind of mistake and they got Anne! The longer Anne is there the more her new family love her. Sometimes I wish I could meet someone just like Anne or even better go back in time and visit!

I read this book in like two weeks when i was like 11 years ago (fairly fast). every time i read a bit, i woulsd always start to act like Anne and try to use long words and describe things as passinately as she does. this is a wonderful tale for all girls.

A few years ago, I decided to read this book because it is considered a classic. Before picking it up, I just hoped it wouldn't be too boring so that I'll manage to finish reading it. Well, it became a favorite. Anne is an interesting combination of a tomboy and a girl who is happy being a girl, which I try to learn from. She is very real - she becomes interested in everything, and her excitement about life and everything in it is contagious and cheers up. And the situations she manages to get into... let's just say she would be a gerat company.
Hope you all enjoy it!

I love the Anne books! They are awesome! I wish I could go back and time and visit. I would like to see what Green Gables was like. Anne is really cool too and how she is always getting into trouble somehow even though she is really nice. Everyone should read this book!
