I like this author. She seems to be able to connect well with her audience. Her books are simply made to read aloud with her vibrant characters and quick plots. Because of Winn Dixie is no exception to this. I think this book especially connects the reader into the life of a lonely girl who has been abandoned by her mother and has moved to a new town. The story is touching, and the movie wasn't a bad adaptation of the book either.
