Make sure that if you are going to read this book, you have the next one handy as this one ends in a cliffhanger.

Meg Cabot has done an excellent job bringing her characters to life. Each character has such individualistic quirks that you can't help, but feel like you really know them.

Her story also moves at a nice, quick pace making this a book that you can quickly get through and an excellent read for an airplane or long trip.

Overall, I loved the story and the twists! I can't wait to read the next one!

"There's no escape when everyone is watching you," Being Nikki by Meg Cabot

Em Watts life was going reasonably well living in the body of teen supermodel Nikki Howard. But things weren't good for long. Em learns that Nikki's real mom has gone missing, and Nikki's brother wants Em to find her. Em's former best friend Christopher and is computer genius cousin Felix want to take down Stark Enterprises, and Em has no idea what to do about it all. As Em becomes closer to her new friends and brother, she realizes she's losing her real family at the same time. Can Em balance her double life... or will she learn things aren't easy Being Nikki?

This was an excellent sequel to Airhead. There were a lot of new twists in the plot and you learned a lot more about Nikki's life before Em. Em has a lot of new problems to deal with and she realizes being a supermodel isn't as easy as she thought. I really felt like this book was almost better than the first and the ending was completely surprising, though it totally left me hanging. I can't wait for the next book in the series, Runaway to come out!

This series gets better and better. The character developments, the twisting plots and everything makes this book a must read.

Nikki, or should I say Em, is finding more problems. First, her "brother", Steven, comes back telling her that their mom was missing. Second, her ex-best friend, Christopher, is trying to bring her company down. Third, her company seems to be turning evil. What should a supermodel do? I think her character was nicely developed. She's funny, witty, and cares about her family deeply. She's also extremely determined and really smart. At least, smart enough to find that Stark is now bugging everything related to her - her house, her family's house, her ex-best friend's house, seemingly everyone who has any relation to her is being watched.

The characters in Airhead were also in this novel, which was something I enjoyed, as well as adding a bunch of new ones. Her brother, Steven, and Christopher's cousin, Felix, are two of my favorites. They bring such humor and personality to Being Nikki.

The plot is also well crafted. The corruption of corporate companies, the future in our technology and medicine fields, and the upper-class life of the rich are the basis of this intense yet refreshing novel. It provides a new level of conflict that will definitely draw the readers in.

Meg's writing style is amazingly unique and wonderful. I love the way she presents the characters and the plot, choosing the right thing to say.

I most definitely can't wait until the next book comes out!

Overall, Being Nikki is a wonderful novel, full of interesting conflicts, plot and intrigue.

Life has changed for Em Watts in huge ways since an accident at Stark Enterprises. For one thing she is no longer herself but, had a brain transplant with the head of Stark Enterprises Nikki Howard. Life is a little crazy for Em especially since Nikki's brother shows up asking for help finding their lost Mother. Or how the guy that Em is in love with has no idea that she's alive, literally. Not to mention how things are bit more than strange at Stark Enterprises when she finds out that there is a good chance that they may be stalking her! Now it is up to Em to settle into her new life as Nikki Howard and still conquer all of her problems from both her new life and her old!

Thoughts

Let me just say that I LOVED this book! I love all of Meg Cabot's books and the Airhead series is definitely a favorite. Airhead was a lot of fun to read so I was really excited to read Being Nikki. When I first began reading I had some pretty high expectations and I was really happy about the fact that the plot was secret so I had no idea what to expect. At some points in the book there were times when I didn't like some of Em's decisions but, for the most part I really enjoyed reading Being Nikki. I especially loved how the book ended. I don't want to give out any spoilers but after finishing Being Nikki, I definitely cannot wait to read the next book in the series!
