Persephone "Persy" Leland is about to begin her first season. She is now a member of London society, subject to the scrutiny of all- but Persy must be particularly careful because she, like her twin sister Pen, is a witch. The last execution for witchcraft was a hundred years ago, but no one will marry Persy if they no the truth.
I have wanted to read this book ever since I read a review of it somewhere, but when the town library bought a copy and I got my first good look at the cover I grew doubtful- it screamed "here be pointless romance". I read it anyway, though, and I couldn't be more glad I did- I loved everything about it.
This book does contain a fair bit of romance, but it certainly isn't pointless- in fact, I loved it and wished that all fluff was written this well.
