I'm a huge fan of The Blue Blood series. Schuyler Van Allen's vampire tale is both unique and also very compelling. I was excited to have a chance to read this short collection of love tales from some of the main characters in this series.
Just Another Night in Suck City follows Oliver after Schuyler leaves him for Jack. Oliver wants to forget everything about Schuyler. A chance encounter at the Holiday Cocktail Lounge with a bewitching bartender changes his life.
Always Something There to Remind Me shows Schuyler's mother before she ends up in a coma. It's 1985 and she experiences love with a red blood. What happens next fortells what will happen later in her life.
Ring of Fire finds Schuyler in Florence getting ready for her bounding with Jack. A mysterious ring and a curse stand between them and their love.
I loved all these short tales especially the one about Schuyler's mother before she ends up in a coma. Her mother acted like any other teen with her flirations with a red blood.
Also Oliver's journey to break free of Schuyler is both poignant and bittersweet. His encounter with Freya had me want to know more about this witch. The author promises more will be revealed in her upcoming new YA series Witches of East End.
This is a must read for Blue Blood fans and those who want to read a little more behind this very popular series.
