ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS BOOK. Lauren is a girl with the picture perfect life. Dave is the model boyfriend. However, Dave never wants to just let loose. Lauren is tired of doing everything Dave wants her too, She wants to live a little. This not so perfect, but dreamy outcast guy comes into her life and rescues her from herself. I loved Evan. The author did a great job in making me fall in love with Evan. lol.

The other day I was at a bookstore, and I came across this book. The cover instantly made me curious. I picked up the book and absolutely adored the plot. I bought the book, and ended up reading it in less that two hours. It was that amazing!

Jessica's life is changed instantly one day, when she finds out that she is a long lost Romanian princess, that has been engaged since she was a baby. Delivering the news to Jess is Lucius Vladescu, the Romanian prince that she is supposed to marry. As the story unfolds, Jess is forced to understand who she is and has to make serious decisions that will affect her entire future.

This book is simply amazing! I loved the whole concept of the story. I was instantly swept up into the story and found that I couldn't stop reading until I fineshed. There were very few moemeants when I felt that the story was dull, instead almost every chapter had some new fascinating detail. I think that the story was well told and written wonderfully!

I loved it. Period. This book is about a girl named Lauren who has what freshman look at like a "perfect life." Lauren has a perfect boyfriend, Dave, who is nothing but nice, athletic, and did I mention all other qualities to make him perfect. But Lauren feels nothing with him. Nothing at all, no butterflies, no sparks, he's just there and not even his kisses feel that good. He'll never touch her because he's very religious and respects her. What girl wouldn't like that? Lauren is one of them. Entering a new term, senior year, she meets someone for the second time. Evan Kirkland. Who is he? He's one of his dad's five girlfriends after Lauren's mom left's son. The last time she had seen him they were around 8. Now, Evan has moved to this high school, the third in three years. Soon, all Lauren does is think of him. About that even when she looks at him she feels more than how she feels when Dave talks and kisses her. He's so safe and yet all the freshman girls drool over him and hate her. What is wrong with Lauren?
She falls for Evan, quickly meeting him everyday after school at the library. He does his homework here because he works from 6pm-2am at freight. Crazy, but that explains the cuts and bruises he has. But every look at Evan, his messy hair and his smile makes her even more crazy over him. Apparently so has he because sooner than that they are kissing behind everybody's back. Katie, Lauren's best friend doesn't even know what's going on. Dave acts normal. Lauren doesn't know how to end it with Dave and on he goes planning things of their future. But its just pointless because lauren doesn't feel the same. Family drama here too. Her dad barely talks to her, mostly he's on business stuff all the time. At the end Lauren makes her choice. The choice is not unpredictable but I loved how Elizabeth Scott ended it. When her dad spoke to her and told her exactly how she felt. Like it was all repeating. I love Evan and Lauren together.

Lauren is a lucky girl, mostly because of her perfect boyfriend Dave. Hes a star football and baseball player and incredibly gorgeous, not to mention extremely smart, loyal, and nice. Her grades are fine and shes got a great friend Katie, but she doesnt realize that shes missing out on anything until Evan Kirkland shows up. Lauren is almost an entirely different person with Evan, because she doesnt pretend anything with him. But even as a passionate relationship with Evan develops, Lauren cant bring herself to break up with her perfect boyfriend Dave. Shes torn between her two personalities: the one that accepts her life with Dave as perfect even though its boring or the more wild and honest side that Evan brings out.

Bloom was a very romantic and sexy story. However although I loved the story, I didnt always love Lauren. She was just so frustrating sometimes, especially when she couldnt make up her mind between which guy she wanted. I have to forgive her though, because shes really only human (even if she is fictional). The setting of high school was not particularly unique, but I felt that the story worked well in it. Also, I liked how the story stayed pretty focused on Laurens problems instead of meandering onto Katies or Daves problems. However, by touching on these other characters problems, I was left with many unanswered problems regarding them and I wished there were more of these characters in the story. Nevertheless, I felt that Bloom was a very honest and definitely romantic story that Id reread if I had time.

I have to say though that I preferred Stealing Heaven by Elizabeth Scott to her first novel, Bloom because it was just more unique, but I still did enjoy reading Bloom. I recommend this novel for fans of Nick & Norahs Infinite Playlist by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan, Wake by Lisa McMann, and When It Happens by Susane Colasanti.

Bloom was fantasic! So good I had to read it again. I loved the characters and it was the cutest book ever!

Lauren's life seems perfect. She has the perfect boyfriend, she is semi-popular, she has a good friend, and her dad makes good money, but when Evan comes to town everything changes. Evan and Lauren's parents used to date when they were young, until her dad cheated and Evan moved away. Lauren and Evan start talking and they kiss. Lauren is then forced to make many tough decisions.

I loved the book. I didn't want to read it at first but after I read it I didn't have a clue why I was so relunctant. "Bloom" is a must read, meaning you have to read it!!

Lauren has everything a girl could ask for good friends, decent grades, and a boyfriend that most girls want. She knows how lucky she is. She does not expect a big miracle to happen and make things perfect. And she definitely did not expect Evan Kirkland to appear after all these years.
Her mom left their family when Lauren was six years old. After that, Laurens dad had new girlfriends all the time, including Mary, Evans mother. So, when Evan reappears at her school, it brings back not only old emotions and memories, but new emotions, too. She cannot deny that she is attracted to him, but she sure tries. After all, she has a good life she has some friends (who either do not open up to her or accept her only because of her boyfriend), good grades (including that C in Geometry and not to mention failing World History), and the perfect boyfriend who loves her (because she respects his faith and his limits) doesnt she?
Elizabeth Scott presents this story of teen love in Bloom as perfectly as if she went through the story along with her characters (and she brought me along, too!) I absolutely love, love, LOVED the characters and their own little unique traits. Her writing brings this story to the reader that is as unforgettable as our own. I have high expectations for her novel Perfect You.

Lauren has what she thinks everyone's always dreams of- a popular boyfriend. And Lauren's happy, too.

At least for a while. Then, Evan, her former step-brother steps back into her life. And awakes new emotions in her. What she feels for Evan is what she should but doesn't feel for her boyfriend, Dave.

Slowly she finds herself living a lie as she avoids her best friend and boyfriend to spend more and more time with Evan. Lauren doesn't know what to do...

Elizabeth Scott's novel is short but sweet. She portrays Lauren in a realistic way, keeping her as a memorable character. In fact, this novel reminded a bit of Sarah Dessen's writing.

"Lauren has a good life: decent grades, great friends, and a boyfriend every girl drools over. So why is she so unhappy?
It takes the arrival of Evan Kirkland in class for Lauren to figure out the answer: She's been holding back. She's been denying herslef a bunch of things - like sex - because staying with her ever-conservative, yet ever-loyal (and did we mention gorgeous?) boyfriend, Dave is the "right" thing. Lauren doesn't want to end up like her mother, though, who indulged her desire for risk and adventure and ran away when Lauren was a mere tot. But as Dave starts talking more and more about their life together through college and even beyond, all perfectly perfect - and as Lauren's craving for Evan and, moreover, who she is with Evan becomes all the more fierce - Lauren realizes what she needs to do. She needs to let go, and take the ride."

I loved, loved, loved this book! I could relate to the characters easily and could even envision them as people I knew. Lauren was a loveable heroine... and she made the right choice (eventually!).
