I thought that this book was, I believe, better than the first. It includes love, journeys, death, and once again, magic. Maerad and Cadvan get in a fight and one may never come back in the end. Maerad meets someone who protects her and harms her at the same time, the Winter King. Old friends and new friends come in this book. If you got hooked on the first book, you will be happy to know that there are 4 altogether. With 3 out already, you're going to wish it went on and on and on.
