Jonah breaks his bones, and it's not an accident.
Jonah's life is falling apart, so he breaks his bones on purpose. He is on a mission to break every bone in his body. Everyone thinks it's an accident when Jonah breaks his bones. Only Jonah, his best friend Naomi, and his brother Jesse know the truth. As Jonah says: "The first feeling is exhiliration. The next feeling is pain. The feeling that never comes is regret." Can Jonah stop this self-destruction? Can Jonah do it, not just for himself, but for his family, his friends, and the girl he loves?
Break is a great book that made me laugh and cry, smile and grimace, and everything in between. Jonah isn't just a character, but a person that everyone can relate to to some degree. A wondeful first novel from author Hannah Moskowitz. When I read that last page, that last sentance, that last word, I was sincerely sad that I had reached the end.
