From inside: On a Caribbean cruise, eighteen-year-old Lindsays to-do list includes having a one night stand, but when her wealthy new stepfather introduces his gorgeous godson as her traveling buddy, things become complicated.

Favorite characters, quotes/lines: Lindsay: I liked her, even though sometimes she was annoying because of her obsession with the fact that Ryan was her stepfathers godson (it really wasnt that big of a deal); Ryan: he was really, really cute. I liked his protectiveness and how he did so many unexpectedly nice things. I dont know many girls who wouldnt have fallen for him

When I finished this book I felt: Caribbean Cruising was a quick, light read, but I really enjoyed it. Hawthorne is good at allowing her readers to form a connection to the characters in a relatively short amount of time. Ill definitely be reading her other books& and dreaming about taking a cruise of my own!

Other books to read by this author: Moonlight, Labor of Love, Snowed In, Thrill Ride, Love on the Lifts, The Boyfriend League, Island Girls (and Boys)

I would recommend this book to: young adult chick lit readers looking for a quick, romance-filled read

I don't know, I just didn't connect well with the novel. It wasn't very real, and very very predictable. Usually, it's the characters who save a story like this, but again, each and every character I found something unlikable about that. Lindsay lacked common sense, and Brooke was annoying.

The circumstances were cute I guess, but overall, very lacking in most departments. I usually like her stuff, but this one was a huge disappointment for me.

I would only reccamend this book to teen girls between the ages 13 to 18!The book is about a girl named lindsay who is on a crusie for her mothers wedding and honeymoon. Her new stepdad walter has a god-son named Ryan. ( he is one hot dude)Any way lindsay is looking for one romantic night with a special guy. Through out the whole book lindsay spends her time trying to find the perfect guy. she also has a list in which she has made to accomplish on the crusie one is to have a romantic night with a guy. It turns out that the specail guy was right under her nose all along!!! I am not telling who the guy is . Soyou are just going to have to find out for yourself and read Carribean Crusing!!!!!!!!!

For me, somebody who seriously hates to read, this book was very good. Ususally it takes bribing to get me to read but when it comes to Rachel Hawthorne and her books, once u get into the 2nd chapter u can't stop.

This book was one of those books that i just couldn't put down even though it was 3:00 A.M. in the morning. This book kept u going and thte chapters were full of funa nd adventure! The only thing that bugged me was house Lindsay could never figure it out. The book was kinda easy to predict what was going to happen next. Overall it was probly one of the best books i've read. Great thing to read on the beach, at the pool, or anytime!

Ok, so maybe this book isn't the great American novel but its fun and sweet and its great for a day at the beach. Lindsey goes on a cruise and has full independece. She makes new friends and meets the guy of her dreams, one problem, he's her escort ont he trip arranged by her new stepdad. Not exactly boyfriend material. Will the relationship between Ryan and her new stepdad stop her form following her heart?

I liked this book. Nothing special, but I got into it. It's a good summer read, and it's stereotypical, basic teen drama, but it's cute. I bought it because it's fun to read over again. A few of my friends like it, too. They say it's fun.

Well, first of the book is about a girl named Lindsay, who's going on a cruise where her mom is going to be wed. Lindsay relizes that this is her chance at being whoever she wants because the people on the ship don't know her yet. Although you don't find out until after you've read the book for a little while, Lindsay's goal is to loose her virginity. So, if you're okay with the idea of that, then I really think you'll enjoy this book, because Lindsay is taught that you shouldn't just loose your virginty to anyone just to loose it, but wait till you're in love and make it special.

Lindsay is getting to go on her Caribbean Cruise while her stepfather and mother are on their honymoon. She makes a list of things to do with the major one at the bottom, to slepp with a boy. Then she meets Ryan, her stepfather's godson, who is a total hottie not to mention really sweet. We, the readers, follow Lindsay as she makes her journey with kissing boys, buying gifts, and having the best time of her life.

I have to say, the imagery in the books was great. But that's as great as it gets. This book had a complete lack of emotion, and I almost ended up hating Lindsay because she appears so dumb, having a goal of slepping with boys. This book does have its pluses, if you count the romance between ryan and Lindsay. i would not recommend this book because it just doesn't cut it, and will never be one of those books that always stay in your mind as well as your heart.

Lindsay is given the chance of a lifetime when she is invited to embark on a 10-day cruise to the Caribbean. The cruise is for Lindsays mother and Walter Hunt, who are getting married. Lindsay makes plans for everything she hopes to accomplish on the cruise. Without her mother and Walter to watch her, Lindsay has complete freedom to do what she wants, until she meets Ryan.

Ryan is Walters godson, and Walter has given specific instructions for Ryan to keep watch on Lindsay. Soon, Lindsay gets caught up in the excitement that the ship has to offer, especially after meeting Brooke. Brooke is the complete opposite of Lindsay, a boy magnet who has no limits. Lindsay soon begins to meet new guys and experiences things that she has never done before, all the while Ryan is hovering over her and she cant explain it.

Lindsay begins to wonder if there is anything between Ryan and her. They seem to end up doing everything together: parasailing, snorkeling, partying, everything. And Ryan is always there to save her from trouble. So Lindsay has to rethink her relationship with Ryan and figure out what she wants.

I thought that this book was a great summer read. Its a light, fun romance to carry to the beach. The descriptions of the Caribbean were really great. The story can get annoying at times because Lindsay spends a lot of time complaining that she doesnt want to be with Ryan because he has ties with Walter. And I think that the author tried a little to hard to use language that would relate to teens, hence the repeated uses of Im down with that and various other phrases, which didnt really fit into the story. Other than that the story was good.
