this book is one of two books where two girls discover an Egyptian archaeological dig is a lot more than surviving blistering heat and scorpions-hot guys(which really sound HOTT!), a cursed bracelet(that wont go AWAY!! OOO!), and ancient(icky, nasty, creepy sounding) tombs make it the best book i've read about egypt...not that i read many.

this book is the side of Chloe and is a companion to the book eyeliner of the gods. it is about a scardey cat named Chloe that loves lip gloss. she is forced to go on this expedition because her father thinks that it would look good on her resume. she can only take a bath every thirteen days and she likes this guy named Connor. It doesn't help that she found a missing artifact and still has not returned it. also she despises this girl named Janurary who is also at the dig. Janruary also has the twin bracelet that goes with chloe's. read this book as chloe tries to get jan caught with the bracelet.

Chloe Bryce is the biggest wimp ever. She's such a scaredy-cat that her family has a nickname for her: Chloe, Queen of Denial. But when she goes to Egypt as part of an excavation team, she is determined to be brave and hide her scaredy-cat past. She's convinced it will work, until she sees Connor, a boy from her high school, there. She's convinced he's going to blow her cover. But then she and Connor hit off, and everything seems to be going well. Except for snotty January James digging through her stuff, the cursed bracelet she can't seem to get rid of, and the secret Connor seems to be keeping from her. Will she be able to keep her cool and stay fearless?
