Becky Bloomwood lives in london where she shares a appartment with her best friend. She works at a finnacial magazine which she hates but, can't quit because, she has found herself in a bit of trouble with the bank. Becky is obbsessed with shopping, but, when she begins to reacieve letters from the bank about her money problems she has to make a huge effort to quit shopping. Unfortunately is dosen't make much of a difference for Becky! I loved this book, I truly did. Reading and of the shopoholic books is like a guarentee for a fun amazing and a few good laughs too!

I absolutely loved this book. I was a little apprehensive going in because I had heard Becky's shopping habits could get annoying. However, I wasn't annoyed in the least bit. I thought Becky was sweet and funny. I totally understood that impulsive desire to buy things (mostly for me though, it's just books!).

I also found the romance, while understated, to be a wonderful subplot. I look forward to seeing more of it in the sequels which I can't wait to read!

the book, "confessions of a shopaholic", by Sophie Kinsella is about a girl named Becky Bloomwood, who is infact, a shopaholic. Her whole life in Britain revolves around shopping. She doesn't feel this is a problem, until the bills start catching up with her. She just can't stop... Enter: charming, rich, handsome Luke Brandon.
Confessions of a shopaholic was an amazing book in every way possible. It was funny, romanitc, had a GREAT storyline, with more books to follow. Make sure you read Shopaholic Takes Manhattan, Shopaholic Ties the Knot, and Shopaholic and Sister. Along with all other Sophie Kinsella books, well worth it!

I loved this book! You will want to laugh and pull yur hair out at the same time when you read this book. I foudnit so amusing we Rebecca gets caught in her lies but it gets a bt annoying after a while because you just want to go into the bookand sake some sense into her literally. I wanted to scream when she spent her money on stuff instad of svaing it to pay off her debt but I was pleased with how t ended not to cliche i mean her problems don't go away but the theme that were allhuman and we all have faults really made this book a favorite of mine.

It was easy to fall in love with Rebecca Bloomwood; she reminded me so much of myself; obsessed with material things, especially using shopping as a form of escape. The debt, the rationalization--it was way too easy to identify with her. Some of her tactics were over the top, and I didn't like that she lied so much, but that's what makes her loveable. She's real.

All in all, a fun read and my favorite one by Sophie Kinsella.
