I sure do love a good graphic novel.
I've been on a graphic novel kick lately and I've been grabbing any I can get my hands on. So a graphic novel about witches? Yes, please.
Now it says that you don't have to read The School of Good vs Evil to understand this and while you technically don't - I think a little is missed.
I haven't read any from the series except the first book, but that's just due to a lack of time. I really enjoyed the first book but never found the time to continue. The story was easily followed but I feel like I missed a lot of the connection between the Witches that might have been in the other novels.
However, the story itself was enjoyable with a classic of miscommunication and one side versus the other. The Coven is called in to act as a third party and truly understand what is happening. It was easy to follow along and I did enjoy the characters as well. I think this is a good installment for anyone - whether you've read the companion series or not.
I loved the vivid graphics. I think it's going to capture the attention of the younger audience while the older audience can appreciate the details.
