O.M.G.!!!!!! this book was so cute!! and it was super witty and had a deep sense of the whole teenage vibe.This girl goes through a whole bunch of stuff and has the cutest boyfriend.she also has wacky friends.if you like comedy,romance,and dumplings this book is worth checking out!!!

The book picks up after CC graduates from high school. She moves to New York to share an apartment with her half brother, Danny. Not wanting to think about Shrimp she decides to start fresh and ends up having a fling with Luis. Just when she thinks things are going good, Shrimp appears in her life again. What will CC do? Will she go back with Shrimp and live a hectic life or will she stay away from him and start a new life? Read and find out!!!

Cupcake is a delicious last book to complete the Gingerbread, Shrimp, Cupcake trilogy. If you have not read this trilogy, I highly recommend it! Rachel Cohn writes about Ceeces journey through finishing high school, and now in Cupcake, she is beginning life on her own, in New York City. Well, not quite on her own. She is living in her gay half-brothers apartment and trying to figure out what she wants to do with her life.

To make matters more complicated, CC cant stop thinking about Shrimp, her surfer boy high school sweetheart whose marriage proposal she turned down. Now Shrimps in New Zealand, and CC must learn to live without him. After a quick fling, a few hangovers, a short stint at culinary school, a broken leg, and getting a job as a barista, CC seems to be on the path to happiness. She meets some eclectic people in New York, including her grouchy old neighbor Max, and CC seems to fit right into the NYC environment. She starts to overcome her homesickness for San Francisco and just as things are looking bright, who should reenter her life but Shrimp?

Now CC is faced with a plethora of tough decisions, including whether or not she wants to stay in New York, or move back to San Francisco with Shrimp. Cyd Charisse is growing up, and it is clear how she has matured from her jailbait high school self. Her love for Shrimp is unwavering, but she wants to do what is best for the both of them. Our lovable heroine must decide whether to follow her mind or follow her heart, and she learns that the two choices are not mutually exclusive.
