I read this book on a camping vacation with my family. We took turns reading aloud one night and we got hooked. Everyone enjoyed the backwards printing and we laughed each time the reader forgot and turned the page the wrong way. The story is very funny and serious at the same time. Great Read!

The "Long Tall Texan" was blown to bits in a sparkling blue lagoon & that's just in the 1st chapter. Two brother 11 & 13 years of age are confronted with death & survival as they grow into manhood. I bought the other books in this series & have read them backward as the books are printed from back to front. The publisher's genius & unique approach to the printing of these books is bold. Great people think out of the box! i would like to revisit these books in a few years, hoping i would have forgotten enough to enjoy them again.

I loved this story about 2 brother left on a deserted island as they grow to manhood. The imagery is dead-on & the writing discriptive. I bought a copy for my nephew & he read it in one week end, I hardly had a chance to visit with him. Next time I will give him books as he's leaving.
