Serena, the goddess who can read minds, is falling in love with the one person in the world she shouldn't be. Stanton is a Follower, a child of the Atrox. He is evil, she is good, can the relationship make it through the perils and end up changing Stanton for the good? Or will it be Serena who takes the plunge into the darkside? Cant tell you, you have to read this wonderful book. I loved the way the book kept me in suspense, I liked the way that it had that Romeo and Juliet meets Buffy the Vampire Slayer (except without the vampires...or the slayer...). I recommend this book to everyone.

We all know the scenario of a boy or boys getting in the way of a great friendship. In theory , thats the problem that Serena faces; but as a daughter of the moon its far worse. Will loving a follower cause her to betray her friends and also destroy her? She is the chosen one, the goddess that the Atrox hungers to take. How will she figure this situation, will she be successful, and what will the others think of her?

Those are the questions that continued to plague my mind as I devoured this book in one whole day. It was great and fascinating and definetely lives up to the page turning exepctation of the series. I love this series and this book, even though from its predessor I didn't have a connection with Serena; but the book changed that. This book is another prime example to devour this engaging and fascinating teen book series. I enjoyed how this and the first book and the whole series shows teen reality to the max, the supernatural.
