The town of Nightshade is preparing for it's two hundredth anniversary which is on Halloween. Nightshade is used to strange things considering most of the residents have some kind of paranormal ability. Still that doesn't prepare them for the string of blackmail letters that comes to those with these abilities.
Daisy Giordano is up to the challenge of finding who's behind this. But this is kind of hard as her long lost father is being way over protective and doesn't like her relationship with her boyfriend, Ryan.
Add to that a new guidance counselor who seems to be up to no good and a celebrity chief Circe Silvertongue who seems to have secrets of her own. Daisy is determined to find out who's sending the letters. Nothing will stop her, not even the threats that come her way.
I love Marlene Perez's teen psychic heroine Daisy Giordano and couldn't wait to read the next book in the series. Once again, Perez doesn't disappoint with a character who loves to cook, solve mysteries, and be with her boyfriend who just happens to be a werewolf.
Daisy is one sassy, upbeat teen who would give Veronica Mars a run for her money. The dialog is upbeat and moves right along. I love the relationship between Daisy and her sisters. I also totally adore Lil, the jukebox that communicates to Daisy with song selections.
Highly engaging, witty and with quirky characters, this is one series that won't disappoint.
